President Ranil Wickremesinghe instructed the Nuwara Eliya District Secretary and Commissioner to immediately provide 30 acres of abandoned land adjacent to the Ambewela Farm to them and provide the necessary facilities to develop it as grazing land to meet the food requirement of the dairy cows.

Sri Lanka Army troops cleared the road between Gampola and Hemmathagama after torrential rains caused a landslide disrupting the passage of public transport services in the area on Sunday evening (Dec 25).

The final certificate-awarding ceremony for 30 Army personnel who successfully qualified in the internationally-recognized National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 and 3 after following different technical courses at the Ranaviru Resource Centre (RRC) took place ( December-27) at the Army Headquarters during a simple ceremony.
