    The Embassy together with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau promoted the destination at the prestigious Welt Museum in Vienna. A large number of invitees representing  the Diplomatic Corp, Government Institution’s, Tourism Sectors, Travel Agents, writers, bloggers, tourism magazines and media attended the “Flavours of Sri Lanka” promotional  event.

    Ambassador Majintha Jayesinghe presented Credentials to Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the  Vienna International Centre, accrediting as the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

    Sri Lanka’s Honorary Consul in Kursk Mohamed Chahine and his team organized a multipurpose trip to the City Kursk for the Embassy Delegation in order to strengthen the ties  on political, trade, tourism, culture, education and sport matters, and to explore areas for further cooperation. About 400 Sri Lankan students are studying at Kursk State Medical  University (KSMU) and Kursk State University.

    Ambassador Dr. Nalin de Silva presented the Letter of Credence to the President Win Myint of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on 01 September 2020 at the Presidential palace in Nay Pyi Taw.
