The Navy apprehended 13 persons for engaging in illegal fishing, during search operations carried out at Janasavigama in Kalpitiya and in the seas of Poul Foint in Trincomalee on 29th June 2020.

The United Nations in New York belatedly commemorated the International Day of Vesak virtually on 2nd July 2020.
