The Canadian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka David McKinnon and French Ambassador to Sri Lanka Eric Lavertu, who have completed their tenure in Sri Lanka and are scheduled to return to their respective countries, met President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (03).

Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Speaker of Parliament announced to the House this morning (03) that he endorsed the certificate on the “Sri A Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (Amendment)” Bill which was passed in Parliament on the 22 nd .

The Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene today (03) announced in Parliament that notwithstanding the provisions of the Standing Order 119 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 10th August 2022 the following Members have been nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA), in terms of the motion agreed to by Parliament on 29th August 2022.
