A committee will be formed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to identify suitable government hospitals as teaching hospitals to provide clinical training for Medical Students enrolled at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), Dr. Neville Fernando Hospital, Lyceum Campus and other universities in Colombo, Kalutara, Gampaha, Kurunegala and Polonnaruwa, without hampering the training of students in State Universities.

On behalf of the Government and people of Sri Lanka, President Ranil Wickremesinghe extended congratulations to Chinese President Xi Jinping on his confirmation of a third term as President of the People's Republic of China.

Minister of Urban Development and Housing Hon. Prasanna Ranatunga instructed the Ministry Secretary recently (10) at the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Urban Development and Housing, to consult with the relevant parties and take a decision regarding the abandoned unfinished buildings in Colombo municipal area. Accordingly, the minister informed to take steps to submit those recommendations to the cabinet.
