The eighth Coronavirus infected patient has been confirmed, said Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe.

Addressing a media briefing at the Government Information Department today Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said that approval will not be given for mass gatherings and in the event of an urgent requirement it is mandatory to obtain police approval and a permit. She said the best way to stay safe from the Coronavirus is to follow a method of self-quarantine and avoid crowded places.

Two more coronavirus patients have been identified in Sri Lanka, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to seven, the Director-General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said addressing a media briefing at the Department of Government Information today (14).

The government has focussed attention on the distribution of face masks enabling the public to purchase them at controlled prices.
