Following customs and traditions, the ‘Nekath Seettuwa’, the table of auspicious times for this year’s Sinhala and Tamil New Year, was presented to President Ranil Wickremesinghe by Minister of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Vidura Wickremanayake and the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (03).

President Ranil Wickremesinghe met with Mr. Bharat Lal, Director General of the Indian Institute of Good Governance, at the President's Official Residence in Paget Road Colombo April (01).

The National New Paddy Harvest Festival, known as the 'Aluth Sahal Mangalya', was held at the historic Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya in Anuradhapura (April 02), under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The first phase of the program to plant three million jackfruit trees across the country, under the theme ‘Guwan Hamuda Herali Perali’, was launched  ( April -01) at the Anuradhapura Air Force Base under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
