Speaking at the 100th memorial birthday celebration of the late Professor Stanley Wijesundara Dece- (10), a renowned figure in Sri Lanka’s science sector, the President emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and research to drive the nation’s progress.
In a historic announcement at the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Colombo Colts Cricket Club (CCC) Dece; (08), President Ranil Wickremesinghe declared his commitment to depoliticizing and revolutionizing cricket in Sri Lanka by 2030.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe advised the leaders of plantation companies to engage in a collective agreement concerning the wage hike for plantation workers, aiming for a minimum of Rs. 1700, as per their request. Alternatively, they were urged to reach a consensus on the increased wage amount before December 31st.
