A Task Force to take further action on water pollution and discoloration of the Diyawanna Oya
April 24, 2021The Hon. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena instructed the Secretary of the Ministry of Environment Dr. Anil Jasinghe to appoint a Task Force for the purpose of taking further measures regarding the contamination and discoloration of the water in the Diyawanna Oya and to take immediate action in submitting the members of the Task Force to him in writing.
A special discussion was held on 22nd of April between the Minister of Health, Pavithra Wanniarachchi, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Woonjin JEONG regarding the support of the Korean health sector in tackling Covid-19 in Sri Lanka.
