The Ambassador of Italy in Colombo Rita Giuliana Mannella called on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees yesterday (14) morning.

A colourful ceremony saw the passing out of 13 Direct Entry officers of Executive and Logistic branches from 1/2019 intake and commissioning of 06 Service Entry candidates of 1/2019 batch at the main parade ground of the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA) in Trincomalee on 11th September 2020. The event was graced by Commander Western Naval Area, as the Chief Guest.

Maha Sanga stated that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has been given the mandate by the people to make the most appropriate constitution for the country.

GRADUATES RECRUITED FOR PUBLIC SECTOR BEGIN ARMY- INITIATED ‘LEADERSHIP; MOTIVATION’ COURSE IN 51 ARMY CENTRES

The Army orientation-training programme for 50,000 graduates, recruited to the public sector in line with HE the President’s ‘Saubhagayaye Dekma’ (Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour) policy statement and on HE's directions to the Army begins under phases on Monday (14) in 51 island-wide Army Centers including, Security Force HQs, Regimental HQs and Training Schools, consequent upon guidance given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
