    Sri Lanka Embassy in Austria facilitated a consignment of rapid antigen test kits and pulse oximeters donated by the Honorary Consuls of Sri Lanka in Styria and Carinthia in Austria, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. The donation was made to support Sri Lanka’s efforts to contain COVID-19.

    The undying memories and invaluable sacrifices of Army, Navy, Air Force and Civil Security Department War Heroes were once again immortalized and made sacred this (Nov 18) at Anuradhapura when the second largest hemispherical Stupa in the country, ‘Sanda Hiru Seya’, the monumental tribute to fallen War Heroes was consecrated and offered to the custodianship of the ‘Sasana’ and the Maha Sangha in a dignified ceremony, graced by the hierarchy of the Maha Sangha, HE the President, Hon Prime Minister, Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Secretary Defence, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Navy and Air Force Commanders, Inspector General of Police, Director General, Civil Security Department, widows and children of fallen War Heroes, permanently injured War Heroes and a huge gathering of devotees.

    Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka Prof. G. L. Peiris called on Prime Minister Shaika Hasina at her office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
