The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to French Republic Prof. Kshanika Hirimburegama was engaged in discussions with Member of the Parliament, and the President of the France – Sri Lanka Friendship Group of the French National Assembly Chantal Jourdan, On 07 July, 2021, at the Parliamentary complex in Paris.

The Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) instructed Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation to summon Litro Gas Lanka Limited and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka (Pvt)
Ltd before the COPE and to conduct a government audit.

The Committee on High Posts approved the appointments of 03 Secretaries to Cabinet Ministries and 04 Secretaries to State Ministries, the Secretary General of
Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake said.

The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Industries recently agreed to the relevant orders to remove the legal impediment to obtaining permits for persons who do not
have co-ownership of the land in gem mining.
