May 15, 2020The ‘Udekki Beach Resort’ in Kalpitiya was formally handed over to the Sri Lanka Navy on 13th May 2020 to be used as a provision for welfare facilities, in line with the Navy’s mission to suppress COVID-19.

PUCSL, CEB & LECO to provide maximum relief to electricity consumers to pay electricity bills
May 15, 2020The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company Private Limited (LECO) have taken steps to ensure fairness for electricity consumers in issuing monthly electricity bills and allowing a grace period to pay the monthly bills.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
