Divulapitiya Covid cluster -Total-2558

The Foreign Ministry has decided to suspend all services offered by the Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry until further notice, to restrict the congregation of the general public and thereby to prevent the spreading of COVID-19 Virus.

Quarantine curfew has been imposed in Mattakkuliya, Modara, Bloemendhal, Grandpass and Wellampitiya police jurisdiction areas

Operations conducted by the Navy and a coordinated search carried out with the Police from 15th to 20th October 2020, led to the apprehension of 38 individuals who engaged in illegal fishing and other unlawful acts in different areas of the island.
