The monthly 'Security Salon' conducted by the Institute of National Security Studies of Sri Lanka (INSSSL) was held on Thursday (05 July). Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne PC chaired the conference held at the Ministry auditorium last evening.
The keynote address themed 'Fake News, Disinformation and Subversion: A Singapore Perspective' was make by Dr. Shashi Jayakumar. The speaker is the head of the Centre of Excellence for National Security (CENS) in Singapore.
The lecture was followed by a discussion by the participants.Director General of the INSSSL Mr. Asanga Abegoonasekera, tri services officers and invitees were present at the lecture.
