The latest Central Bank report (2020) shows that last year saw steady growth in government projects aimed at enhancing the digital infrastructure of the Sri Lankan economy.

A team comprising several senior diving officers of the Sri Lanka Navy, conducted a special diving operation, (06th June 2021) to inspect if there is any fuel leakage from the fire-damaged MV X-PRESS PEARL.

The Navy today (06th June 2021) managed to rescue 27 individuals, including children and women, affected by floods in Ja-Ela area in the Gampaha district, with the onset of showery weather condition. Upon being rescued, these persons were swiftly accommodated in safe locations and facilitated with relief measures.

Sri Lanka Navy has deployed 33 relief tams in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Northwestern Provinces to provide relief to the people affected by the floods caused by torrential rains.
