The Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, held a meeting today (24) with Chief of Defense Staff, General Shavendra Silva, Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, and Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said that the government service should be digitalized to streamline the public service and create transparency. The Prime Minister stated this while addressing the National ICT Awards organized in celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Chartered Institute for IT, Sri Lanka, held in Colombo yesterday (23) afternoon.

Ms. Marie-Noëlle Duris, Charge d'Affaires of the French Embassy in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya yesterday (23) at the Prime Minister's Office. During the visit, Ms. Duris emphasized France’s enduring friendship and reiterated continued support for Sri Lanka.
