Ambassador Majintha Jayesinghe presented Credentials to Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Li Yong on 22 December 2020, at the Vienna International Centre, accrediting as the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UNIDO.

Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena met with Ambassador of the Netherlands Tanja Gonggrijp and Ambassador of Turkey R. Demet Sekercioglu on 22 December 2020 and discussed several areas of ongoing cooperation.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) yesterday officially handed over 55 laptops to the Ministry of Justice as part of it’s digital support to facilitate remote Court hearings, at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Justice. The laptops are to be used to facilitate the expansion of remote court hearings in the courts identified by the Judicial Service Commission.
