The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jordan gifted a collection of English books to Abdul Hameed Shoman Public Library in Amman recently.The project was funded by the Government of Sri Lanka through the Bank of Ceylon for the second time.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Presidential candidate in the upcoming Presidential Election, recently met with the President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference and Bishop of Kurunegala, Most Rev. Dr. Harold Anthony Perera along with the Secretary General and Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo, Most Reverend Don Anthony Jayakody.

A few showers may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) Mumbai arrived at the port of Colombo on a formal visit yesterday morning.(26) The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with naval traditions.
