1. Middle Income Housing Loan Scheme (Document No. 09)
The cabinet of ministers approved the proposal presented by Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs to expand middle income housing loan scheme by considering the age limit accepted by the banks , granting opportunity to purchase houses from private housing Schemes and to reduce the monthly income level as proposed by the President.

The cabinet of ministers approved the proposal presented by Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs to secure Rs.169.97 million provisions from the budget 2019.
- Implementation of Sustainable Punyagrama Program for a moral society (Document No.15)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Gamini Jayawickrama perera, Minister of Buddha Sasana to secure funds for implementing this program in 250 villages all over the country and to implement this program in other religious places too.
- Re printing activities of “ Buddha Jayanthi Thripitaka Book Series by the Ministry of Buddha Sasana. (Document No.16)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Gamini Jayawickrama Perera, Minister of Buddha Sasana to take over the responsibility of editing and printing Thirpitaka Book Series by the Ministry of Buddha Sasana.

The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. NImal SIripala De silva, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation to instruct the Legal Draftsman to prepare bills to amend the Sri Lanka Transport Board Act No.27 of 2005.
- All Island awareness Program on Right to Information Act. (Document No 20)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance and Mass Media to implement “Right to Information for village” mobile service, and to organize school Competitions all over the country on this topic.
- Expanding the covering area of “Vasantham TV” Channel. (Document No.21)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance and Mass Media to expand the telecasting facilities of Vasantham TV using Rs.304 million investment.
- Establishment of National Council for Health Research (Document No. 27)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Dr. Rajitha Senarathne, Minister of Health , Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to instruct Legal Draftsman to prepare bills for the establishment of National Council for Health Research.
- Improvement of Rathnapura Provincial General Hospital as a Teaching Hospital (Document No 28)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Dr. Rajitha Senarathne, Minister of Health , Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to improve the Rathnapura Provincial General Hospital as the Teaching hospital affiliated to the new Medical Faculty of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
- Organizing 71st National Day Festival (Document No. 30)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Wajira Abeywardhane, Minister of Home Affairs to appoint a 13 member subcommittee chaired by the Prime Minister to organize the 71st National Day Festival on 04th February 2019.
- Disposal of Ash that has been collected in Norochchole Coal Power Plant in Environmental Friendly way. (Document No 37)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapiiya, Minister of Power and renewable Energy to use this ash for brick production in the same premises without releasing in to the Environment.
- New Bill for the execution of national fisheries and aquaculture policy (Document No 42)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Wijith Wijayamuny Soysa, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development and Rural Economy to draft a new bill in place of existing Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Act No 2 of 1996.
- Construction of 1,200 houses in Northern and Southern Provinces under the “Samata Sewana Gramashakthi model village Project” (Document No. 47)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing and Constructions to appoint a Steering Committee and enter into a memorandum of understanding with Indian Government to build 600 housing units in Southern Province and 600 housing units in Northern Province.
- Project to install Sola Power Plants in Model Village housing schemes (Document No 48)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sajith Premadasa Minister of Housing and Constructions to call proposals for the implementation of this project in order to identify proper investors.
- Agreement between Sri Lanka and Thailand on handing over Sentenced Persons. (Document No. 50)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon.Thalatha Athukorala , Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms to submit this agreement between Sri Lanka and Thailand on Handing over Sentenced Persons to the parliament.
- Legislation to prevent Animal Sacrifice (Document No. 57)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal Presented by Hon. D.M.Swaminadan Minister of Rehabilitation, Northern Development and Hindu Religious Affairs to impose legislations to prohibit animal and bird sacrifice in Kovil areas and to instruct legal Draftsman to prepare bills based on draft bill prepared for this purpose.
- Combined Inland Registry Project to improve Property Registration Process. (Document No. 60)
This Project is planned to be implemented in Western and Southern Provinces in 2018 and the cabinet of Ministers approved the combined proposal presented by Hon. Malik Samarawickrama, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade and Hon. Wajira Abeywardena, Minister of Home affairs to secure funds to implement this project over the country.
- Regulating Boat Manufacturing Industry and Providing infrastructure Facilities (Document no 61)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the combined proposal presented by Hon. Malik Samarawickrama, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade to secure funds to implement this project.
- Construction of Inlet Structure of Bandarawela, Diyathalawa and Haputhale combined Water Supply Project. ( Document No 66)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal Presented by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, Minister of City Planning and Water Supply to secure funds for this project and to provide this contract to central engineering consultancy bureau/ central engineering services ltd.
- Development of Hambanthota and Nuwara Eliya District Hospitals under Netherland Aids. (Document No 68)
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal Presented by Dr. Rajitha Senarathne, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicines to secure funds and necessary approval to provide modern equipments for these hospitals.
- Construction of Grid Substation at Mathugama, Galle , Beliaththa, Mathara and Pallekele (Document No 70)
It has been planned to establish 90 sola power plants (1 MW) to connect to the Central Power System in Sri Lanka. Accordingly the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Minister of Power and Renewable Energy to provide the contract for the construction of Grid Substation at Mathugama, Galle , Beliaththa, Mathara and Pallekele in accordance with the recommendation of cabinet appointed procurement Committee.
- Development of Infrastructure facilities in Rajarata, Colombo , Ruhunu and Eastern Universities (Document No 71)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Dr. WIjayadasa Rajapaksha, Minister of Higher Education and Cultural Affairs to implement these development project using Rs. 3,690.42 investment.
- Construction of necessary building for the establishment of Medical Faculty of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. (Document No. 72)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Dr. WIjayadasa Rajapaksha, Minister of Higher Education and Cultural Affairs to construct clinical building for Medical faculty and parallel faculty of Science and to secure funds for this purpose.
- Rehabilitation and Improvement of Road from Tampitiya to Chenkaladi (27.75 Km) under the Project for the rehabilitation and improvement of Badulla- Chenkaladi Road
The cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal Presented by Hon. Kabeer Hasheem, Minister of Highways and Road Development to provide this contract to Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd for Rs. 2,837.43 upon the recommendation of cabinet approved Standing Procurement Committee.
- Promoting employments for women in Industrial and Vocational Educational, and Training Fields (Document No.82)
Asian Development Bank has agreed to grant USD 3 million for this purpose. Accordingly the cabinet of ministers approved the proposal Presented by Dr.Sarath Amunugama, Minister of Science and Technology,Research, Skill Development and Vocational Training and Upcountry Development to enter into an agreement with Plan International Australia to implement this project.
- Proposed Prevention of Terrorism Act (Document No. 87)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Thilak Marapana Minister of Foreign Affairs to gazette the Proposed Prevention of Terrorism Act and consequently submit to the parliament for making necessary reforms.
- Empowerment of Youth with Leadership skills (Document No. 88)
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by H.E.The President, Maithreepala Sirisena, to implement “Youth Empowerment Project” and secure funds under the 2019-2021 medium-term budget framework for this purpose.
- Construction of Rural Bridges for uplifting beneficiaries in model villages in Hambantota District.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing and Constructions to implement 04 projects ( Bridge in Walasmulla Pallekandayaya Road, Bridge across the Urubokka Oya in Medagoda Kumbukmulla, Bridge connecting Thalunna and Kndupelella, and Bridge in Pahala Baragama) under the “Nagamu Purawara” Project.
