    Edex Nena Pahana' Distributes Books Among Underprivileged Students in Wanni

    'EDEX Nena Pahana' project of old Royalists with the objective of supporting underprivileged students at selected schools in remote areas once again distributed a big stock of valuable books and reading materials among students at V/Kulukunnamaduwa School, V/Kalmadu Tamil College, V/Kalmadu Maha Vidyalaya and V/Bogaswewa Maha Vidyalaya in the Vavuniya district on Friday (21st).

    EDEX Nena Pahana is dedicated to make such social welfare projects successful, intending to support uplift of education in remote areas.Commanders of 563 and 611 Brigades, Chief Civil Coordinating Affairs Officer took the lead in selecting most deserving schools in the areas on the guidelines given by the Commander, Security Forces, Wanni.

    EDEX by helping in this manner expects to empower Sri Lankan youth to be globally competitive.Director Brand Promotion of EDEX Nena Pahana Project, Mr. Shehan Hiranga Silva along with Mr. Ramith Perera, an active Colombo Union member and Mr Nawaka Nawarathna of the EDEX project visited these difficult areas for distribution of those reading materials.

    563 and 611 Brigade Commanders, Members of the Security Force Headquarters -Wanni, EDEX staff members and a large gathering were associated with those distribution events.
