We as the Ministry of Defence we do what ever possible for social and economic development on par with the Government's vision, he also emphasized. Recalling on the previous development projects supported by the security forces personnel he stated that, tri-forces have immensely contributed for the social development of the country.

 

 

Secretary expressed these sentiments while participating at the opening ceremony of the S De S Jayasinghe ground in Dehiwala on October 10.

 

 

The new facility was vested on public by the Secretary Eng. Hettiarachchi and the Chief Minister of the Western Province Hon. Isuru Devapriya at the invitation of His Holiness the Mayor of Dehiwala- Mt. Lavinia Municipal Council Danasiri Amaratunga.

 

 

The construction work of the new facility was carried out under the patronage of the Dehiwala- Mt. Lavinia Municipal Council. It also comprises with a children playground which constructed for the benefit of the younger generation to develop their innate sport talents.

 

 

Religious Dignitaries, Provincial Councillors, State Officials and residents in the area were also present at the event.
