    Foreign Employment Bureau saves 400 million rupees

    The Foreign Employment Bureau has saved a sum of more than 400 million rupees within the past nine months. The overall expenditure incurred by the Foreign Employment Bureau from January last year to September was 2,180 million rupees.

    The Minister Foreign Employment Thalaltha Athukorale said that the expenditure of the Bureau in the corresponding period this year has declined to 1779 million rupees. Accordingly the expenditure has come down by 401 million rupees.

     

    Noteworthy is the decline in publicity expenditure from 115 million rupees to 5.2 million rupees and the decline in transport expenditure from 54 million rupees to 34 million rupees. The business promotion expenditure has also come down from 69 million rupees
