The High Commissioner, briefing a delegation of Pakistani cadets visiting Sri Lanka, said "these deep rooted relations draws strength from centuries old civilizational link through our shared rich heritage, which is preserved by the people and government of Pakistan with due reverence."

A group of four officers and 15 cadets of Pakistan's Cadet Corps is on a visit to Sri Lanka to participate in Herman Loos & De Zoysa Annual Championship. The delegation called on the High Commissioner at the High Commission of Pakistan.

High Commissioner Hussain emphasized that strong defense cooperation between the two friendly countries constitutes a strong pillar of this "all-encompassing relationship".

He expressed the hope that the visit would add value to the already strengthened bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He assured that the High Commission would continue to patronize and support such initiatives.
