This meeting will be held every month with participation of the President to take decisions on the economic status of the country relevant to forthcoming years.

The discussions focused on creating new employment opportunities, increase of the income of the people, rural economic development, increase the subsidies to the people through tax policies and other sectors and strengthening of local industries.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Kabir Hashim, Sarath Amunugama, Rauff Hakeem, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Patali Chmapika Ranawaka, Secretary to the President P. B. Abeykoon, Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake, Secretary to the Finance Ministry Dr. R. H. S. Samarathunga and Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran also participated in this discussion.
