State Minister of Defence Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene declared opened the Omniscient Sacred Relics exposition at the Sri Wardanarama Temple in Keenadeniya, Ambepusse yesterday (20th Dec). Sacred Relics were taken-in-procession from Myanmar recently.
Accordingly, the perahara pageant and the motorcade departed from Kotte, carrying the Sacred Relics Casket arrived at the Sri Wardanarama Temple in the evening. Afterwards, State Minster Wijewardene received the casket of sacred relics and deposited for public veneration.
Venerable Maha Sanga including the Chief Prelate of the temple Ven. Batuwana Gnanissara thero, and a large number of devotees were present at the occasion.
