The Sri Pada pilgrimage season commenced on December 24 with the Unduwap Full Moon Poya Day. General Manager of Sri Lanka Transport Board said that a special bus service is operated for the convenience of the pilgrims.
General Manager of SLTB, Raja Gunatilaka said that the Hatton Depot will operate buses from the Hatton Railway Station to Nallathanniya. Instructions have been given to operate buses from the Central Bus Stand in Colombo to Maskeliya.
Buses will also operate from Avissawella to Nallathanniya. He said buses which run from Kandy to Maskeliya will be operated up to Nallathanniya.
