Award winning author and educationist Eileen Siriwardena's funeral will take place today at Borella Kanatta.
She passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 87.
A former Principal of Nugegoda Samudradevi Balika Girls School and Visaka Vidyalaya, Siriwardena was the author of books such as Ahasin Polowata, Weralin Sayurata, Katharin Etharata, Kshema Bhumiya and Balan Harima Kadathurawa.
The wife of the late Administrative Officer Deshamanya D. B. I. P. S. Siriwardena, she was was also a presidential award winner.
