    Cabinet nod to develop Govt. Analyst's Dept. and the CID

    Sri Lankan Government is planning to implement a project to develop the capacities of of the Government Analyst’s Department and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) with a grant of US$ 3.2 million by the Korean International Cooperation Agency.

    Digital Evidence and DNA analysis, which are considered as the main two sources in the modern Criminology, plays a major role in inspection of many crimes.

    Accordinglyas per a proposal submitted by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe, the cabinet has granted approval to develop the capacities of the Government Analyst’s Department and the Criminal Investigations Department.
