    Rural development projects continue

    The Government has taken steps to continue the development activities in several rural areas. The development activities now on in the Habaraduwa town has provided an answer to the accusations that the present Government has not launched any development projects during the past one year.

    According to the Government, a large number of development projects have been launched in rural areas. 150 roads are being repaired in Habaraduwa under the Governments Development Programme. It also includes building a super market complex at a cost of Rs.100 million in Ahangama.



    The main bus stand of the Habaraduwa Town has been built under the programme. The Government has spent Rs.1,600 million for development activities in the Habaraduwa Town.



    UNP Chief Organizer of Habaraduwa Chandralal Abeygunawardena said his Government did not intend to publicize these development activities over media.
