The Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Eng. Karunasena Hettiarachchi visited the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS) yesterday (23).
Secretary Hettiarachchi was briefed on the organization and its functions followed by addressing the gathering.
Air Chief Marshal Gunatilleke presented a memento to Secretary Hettiarachchi to mark the occasion. Senior officials of the OCDS were also present at the occasion.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
