    Steps to train cadets to create 'Drug and Liquor Free Country'

    In line with the Presidents concept of a 'Drug and Liquor Free Country', the National Dangerous Drugs Board is training officers of the National Cadet Corps to assist with control, Director Major General Chandana Rajaguru said.

    He said cadets at the Rantambe Training Centre were being trained in drug and liquor control, in a series of programmes implemented jointly by the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board Chairman Proffesor Ravindra Fernando, External Services Assistant Director Kumudini Jayatilleke and the Cadet Corps Media Unit.


    He said the training was on the direction of Defense State Minister Ruwan Wijeywardene.
