The Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake made this reference at the Sixth Asian Development Forum organized in Colombo.
The 6th Asian Development Forum was inaugurated in Colombo this morning under the patronage of the Minister Ravi Karunanayake and Asian Development Bank Vice President Bambang Susantono.
The Minister further said achieving sustainable development goals is of paramount importance to the nations in the Asian region and Sri Lanka expects to become a more competitive and open South Asian country.
Addressing the Forum, ADB Vice President Bambang Susantono said that Sri Lanka has achieved appreciable development during the last four decades despite being battered by terrorism.
