Addressing the media yesterday (31st March) he said: “today the country is in an era where the reconciliation is being built as expected by all the communities.”
According to him, the President Maithreepala Sirisena is the leader of the country who could win the attention of the majority of the Tamil people lived in North and this has become a headache for the extremism prevailing in the North of the country.
“Our country is recovering from a 30-year war where the public were suffered a lot while the leaders were protected by the squads. Hence, the reconciliation is vital”, he said.
Even the religious leaders have preached the reconciliation, which is a very fair and never expired concept.
“Although the war is defeated by arms, the war of attitudes cannot be defeated very easily by using bombs or firearms”, he further said.
