    WHO Impressed with Army Health Services

    Special discussion on Oral Diseases among Army personnel was held yesterday (6th April) between the representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Director General of the Army Health Services.



    The event was held at the Army Hospital at Narahenpita.



    Executive Coordinator of the 'Healthy Army – Healthy Nation' project Brigadier A.S.M Wijewardane addressing the gathering stressed the need to overcome oral diseases among Army personnel and their family members.



    Extending the assistance from WHO, the coordinator to Sri Lanka at the WHO Dr. Jecob Kumaresan assured to provide technical support and the new technology to improve Army’s health services.



    Dr.Lanka Jayasuriya Dissanayake, Colonel H.T Wickramasekara, Colonel P.A.C Fernando, Director, Army Hospital, Narahenpita attended the discussion.
