Earlier, the doctors have agreed with the Minister to maintain a maximum channeling fee of Rs.2, 000. This will not be increased and expect to decrease more, minister added.
Minister stated this addressing the weekly Cabinet briefing yesterday (20th April) at the Department of Government Information auditorium.
The Minister said that legal actions will be taken against those who are not following the agreement.
The government aims to increase the amount of money allocated by the Gross Domestic Product for the health sector up to 3 percent. This will be reached by the VAT income from the private sector hospitals.
According to the Minister, the Prime Minister has recently assured that total VAT income received by the private sector hospitals would be used to develop the government hospitals and the state health services.
