Naval personnel on-board a Fast Attack Craft attached to SLNS Uttara in Kankasanthurai of Northern Naval Command, arrested these fishermen who were in illegal harvesting of sea cucumbers in between Chundikulam and Chalei sea area on April 24.

During the raid 61 sea cucumbers, 30 oxygen cylinders, 6 diving masks, 6 pairs of diving fins and 2 G.P.S units were taken into custody.

The arrested persons and the belongings were handed over to the Inspectorate of Fisheries in Jaffna for onward investigations.
