According to the Met. Department, showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most provinces after 2.00 pm.

Fairly heavy falls (above 50mm) are also likely at some places particularly in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces.

Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
