Showers are expected today (27th May) at times in the Western, North-Western, Southern, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces especially the morning.
According to the Met. Department, showers or thundershowers also expected at few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces, particularly after 2.00 p.m.
Strong winds also likely over the country (particularly over Western slopes of the central hills) and surrounding sea area.
