    "Senehe Siyapatha" fund assists the flood affected students Featured

    "Senehe Siyapatha" fund, established to assist the recent flood affected people will offer vouchers for the students in the affected areas to buy pair of shoes today (8th June) at the Siddhartha Maha Vidyalaya in Sedawaththe.

     

    Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and mass Media Gayantha Karunathilake, Minister of Disaster Management Anura Priyadarshane Yapa, Deputy Minister of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Karunarathne Paranawithna, Minister of Education of the Western Province Ranjith Somawatte, and the Secretary to the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Nimal Bopage are expected to take part in this event and also to visit the area to look into the educational needs of the students.

     

    The "Senehe Siyapatha" fund, established by the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Independent Television Network, Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited, Disaster Relief Center, and the Dialog Mobile network in co-ordination with the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media has implemented number of relief measures for the displaced people.
