Met. Department expects showers or thunder showers at times in the Western, North-Western, Southern, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces today (8th June).
Several light showers are also expected in the Mannar and Jaffna districts.

Fairly strong winds could be expected at times over the country particularly over Western slopes of the central hills.
