During the event 850 student affected from recent floods received vouchers for new shoes and books as a part of “Senehe Siyapatha” fund initiative.

The "Senehe Siyapatha" funds, established by the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Independent Television Network, Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited, Disaster Relief Centre, and the Dialog Mobile network in co-ordination with the Ministry of Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media has implemented number of relief measures for flood victims.
