Tea, coconut and rubber smallholders having less than one hectare and engaged in the plantation sector are entitled to this fertilizer subsidy, the government announced.

Under the program tea and rubber cultivators will be given Rs. 5000 per hectare for a year, while coconut cultivators will receive a Rs. 9000 per hectare.

The program granting the subsidy will be launched from Galle on Sunday under the patronage of Minister of Plantations Navin Dissanayake and Deputy Minister Lakshman Wasantha Perera.
