Met. Department issuing the today weather forecast said that the showers or thundershowers would occur at times in the Eastern and Uva provinces.
Several spells of showers also expected in several places of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Southern provinces, it said.
Showers or thunder showers will occur elsewhere, particularly after 2.00 pm.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
