Fourteen thrust areas essential for agricultural development have been identified and those thrust areas are Input Management, Empowerment of farmer community, Marketing, natural resources Management, state and private sector partnership , youth and women partnership in agriculture, knowledge management, traditional knowledge and practices, Research and technology Development, Consumer health and sanitation food security, legal and regulation frame work, improvement of irrigation, Infrastructure facilities and Institutional coordination.
