National Occupational Safety Week- 2016, annually organized by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health –NIOSH will be held from 7-14 October.
Parallel to this year’s celebration, an international seminar and a national seminar on occupational safety and health, and a national occupational safety and health award ceremony will be held.
The Week of celebration is implemented with the objective of generating a healthy work force by reducing the occupation bound accidents, and thereby improving the national production.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
