The first ‘Uda Gammanaya’ (Village) in Anuradhapura District under the ‘UdaGama’ program was vested with public by the Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa recently.
The 26- house village in Moragoda, Thalawa named ‘Dewanapethisgama’ is the 15th such village opened under the Good Governance Government.
According to the Minister Premadasa, there is a need of houses for nearly 2.5 million families out of all 5.1 million families in the country.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
