As a result, the devotees who arrive at Nagadeepa Viharaya and the total population (120 families) on Eluvaitivu Island will be benefited from these latest installations.
This RO plant installed at the temple premises was funded by the Sri Lanka Navy’s Social Responsibility Fund. Meanwhile, the RO plant on Eluvaitivu Island was set up making use of the Government’s financial provisions which were saved from the reconstruction of the Eluvaitivu Jetty.
Along with these two facilities, the Navy installed a total of 107 RO plants across the country thus far facilitating 47,975 families and 40,600 school children with safe drinking water.
