Sri Lanka Institute for Development Administration (SLIDA) and the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) signed a MoU to empower the public sector with IT knowledge with the purpose of making ‘A Digitalized Sri Lanka’ a reality.
With the signing of the MoU, the SLIDA will be able to use its human and physical resources effectively. Trainings are scheduled to be provided with use of mobile phones, tabs, and modern IT equipment.
Mrs. Wasantha Perera, Director General of SLIDA and the Managing Director of ICTA Muhundan Kanagy signed the MoU.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
