Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, states the Met. Department.
Several spells of showers will occur in the Southern, Central and North-western provinces.
Some showers can be expected over the Northern Province too.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in other provinces after 2.00pm.
Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected over Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Mathale and Hambantota Districts,it further states.
